About Me

Well, what should I say about myself. Well, I am a Christian, a father and husband, a teacher, a student, and an artist. In that order. Those who know me know that what you see is what you get. I don’t hide who I am. Actually I am quite proud of who I am. I have worked hard to make me, well, me. Sure we won’t agree on everything, but I will listen to anyone, because I believe in freedom of speech. I am an photographer and artist living in the Houston, TX area. I am constantly working on my skillset and always looking for freelance work.

I am a practicing Christian. I am not ashamed of my faith at all. With that being said, I will not take a Bible and bash you over the head with it.

I have a five year old son who just runs me ragged. I am constantly tired from my students at work and my son at home. Mix that with school and you have a man with no nerves at all. Anyone who wonders why I am tired and cranky just needs to come spend a few hours with “The Tornado.” You will soon see a whole new level of tired and cranky. However, I would not have it any other way. My son has a joy and curiosity about him that just fascinates me to no end. He is always wanting to learn and  try new things. I think adults could learn a lot from this five year old.

I currently teach video production at a private school in Texas. This is my fifth year and I love it. I previously worked for Apple as a Creative, or for those who don’t know, a trainer. It was my job to teach Apple users how to use the hardware and software so they could get the most from their investment. I really like teaching. I like to make a difference in the lives of the people I meet. While it might not seem like a video production teacher can make a difference, I believe that we all leave an impression on everyone we meet.

I am currently pursuing my Master of Fine Arts degree in Web Design and New Media from The Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I really enjoy learning. I think learning is a lifelong process and those who stop learning are doing a terrible disservice to themselves. I have wanted to pursue animation, visual effects, and new media since I was in high school, but until a few years ago was unable. I am thrilled that I am able to study something I am so passionate about.

Well, that is all about me for now. This site will be about me and will include my demo reel, artwork, tutorials, and general discussion topics about things which fascinate me. This site, like me, is a constant work in progress. I update things as often as I can, so keep an eye out.
